I love a green smoothie. I try to have them a few times a week. This particular recipe helps with reducing puffiness (maybe after a carb day) in the face. It’s quick and easy, and delicious! Here’s all it takes:
A couple handfuls of baby spinach
One stalk of Kale
One stalk of celery
A pinch of cilantro (go easy on this it’s strong and can take over the whole flavor)
A sprig of parsley (very little of this as well, but put it in, great anti-inflammatory properties)
Juice of a half of a lemon
Blend it all up. I start with the leafy greens first, they take the most time getting to the right consistency and sometimes add a little water before I start. After it is all mixed together throw a couple ice cubes in and give it a final pulse, stick a straw in it and enjoy! You will notice a brighter, clearer skin tone and I really noticed my face looking slimmer. But the best of all is you just had three servings of veggies and almost two servings of fruit and it’s only breakfast. You can mess around with the ingredients and add some green tea, protein powder, yogurt, berries, lots of different combos that are super yummy. Hope you enjoy.
